EMPHASIZING WATER SAFETY IN IDAHO
INFORMATION

Water Safety Data
What does drowning data look like on a national scale? A local scale? What are the overall main causes of drowning? Where do most drownings occur?

Drowning Prevention
There are numerous steps you can take to prevent tragedies around water for both yourself and others. Simple safety practices can save lives.

Risk Groups
Some demographics of citizens are more likely to suffer drowning incidents than others. People of all ages are capable of drowning, not just children.

OUR MISSION
We are five students from Eagle High School collectively working to emphasize the significance of water safety in our community. Our interest in this mission stems from a genuine interest in protecting local citizens. This plan was created for our Campaign for Change senior year project, a year-long assignment meant to strengthen local ties between the students and their community. Although, we hope for our information and work to be sustained and reach further into the community and potentially influence students in the future to build upon our research.
FUNDRAISING

Our project was founded on providing first responders in our community with the proper personal protection equipment (PPE) in order to safely and successfully tackle their day-to-day challenges. To provide them with such essential tools, we have worked with local authorities and organizations to fundraise through emphasizing water safety practices. By spreading the word and working towards a safer Idaho, we hope to not only raise money for PPE for local authorities, but also for other essential equipment citizens in our community may use to protect themselves, such as lifejackets, life rings, and floatation devices.
